As he was only a chemical engineer and not a biologist, Forester neither understood nor cared about the disastrous effects DN6 would have on the Earth's environment, as it would destroy insects vital to agriculture as well as those harmful to it; and considered Arnold Farrow's refusal to grant approval for the manufacture of DN6 in the United Kingdom in June 1969 to be a petty bureaucratic roadblock.
Forester murdered Farrow, then doctored his report to approve the insecticide's production. His crimes were exposed and he was arrested by PC Bert Rowse. (TV: Planet of Giants)
