In 2007, Yvonne happened to be in the right place at the right time (AUDIO: Day Zero) and was able to travel through the Void to N-Space after the Battle of Canary Wharf. She went into hiding (AUDIO: Poker Face) and became an associate of the Committee. (AUDIO: Flight 405) She considered herself to be working with them rather than for them and believed that they could cleanse Earth and have it populated only by the worthy. At Torchwood Three
Taking control
Please help by adding some more information.
When Torchwood Three was rebuilt in Cardiff by Gwen Cooper and everything started to go out of hand after the Sorvix took over the city administration, Yvonne revealed herself to Torchwood, penetrating the Hub, (AUDIO: The Empty Hand) and announced that she would depose Jack Harkness and become the new leader of Torchwood. She successfully used Jack's secret connections to the terrorist group Red Doors to convince the Torchwood team that he betrayed them and took charge. (AUDIO: Poker Face)
The Sorvix occupation
Please help by adding some more information.
Under her leadership, Torchwood stopped psychic attacks on people through the words "I know what you've done. I know what you'll do." The words targeted people's guilt for the most horrible actions in their lives, encouraging them to do more. But when they attacked Yvonne, she didn't show any guilt at all, believing that all her terrible actions were necessary. She did, however, feel sorry for Orr, after putting them through a painful experience in order to track down the words' origin. She later introduced herself to Andy Davidson and invited him to dinner. (AUDIO: Tagged)
After she sent Gwen and Mr Colchester to investigate an escape room, which nearly killed them, (AUDIO: Escape Room) Yvonne arranged a deal between Ro-Jedda, the leader of the Sorvix, and Prime Minister Felicity in order to improve the United Kingdom's economy. Yvonne then brought down the Red Doors movement and survived the explosion with Ro-Jedda, only to witness that the Sorvix's god come through the Rift. (AUDIO: Herald of the Dawn)
God's arrival
Please help by adding some more information.
Yvonne imprisoned Ro-Jedda in the Hub, and used the Herald of the Sorvix's god, who fled to Earth and for a long time posed as Gwen, to extract information from her. Yvonne later shot Ro-Jedda in the cell after learning that the Sorvix had fled Earth. She met Colin Colchester-Price after his husband's death and showed him the video that he left on the Torchwood computer in the event of his death. (AUDIO: Future Pain)
When the alien predator cloaked Cardiff with darkness, she and Jack used night vision goggles to investigate. Yvonne reunited with Andy Davidson, whom she was avoiding for a while after they had started a relationship. After admitting to him that she was really uncomfortable in total darkness, she used him as bait to lure the alien and shoot it. (AUDIO: See No Evil)
The same night the Black Sun had come to feed on people's dreams. In the Hub, Yvonne used caffeine ring to stay awake, and had to maintain physical contact with Ng and Jack, so that they wouldn't fall asleep either. Jack still didn't trust "Not Gwen", believing it was all her doing and encouraging Yvonne to let her fall asleep. Ng eventually decided not to argue with him and said that Yvonne should stop holding her hand, if there was any flicker of a doubt about her loyalty, and Yvonne immediately let her go, saying that there was "a flicker of a doubt". After arguing with Jack about her leadership at Torchwood, she let go of him too. Later alien light took the shape of Andy Davidson and emotionally taunted her, but by that time Orr completed their "night watch" and stopped the light with the help of Sorvix's god, who organised all this in the first place.
Immediately after that Yvonne decided that Torchwood needs the resourcefulness of Ianto Jones. Ignoring Jack's protests, she began to extract him from his personal time stream, however the man who materialised in front of them was Norton Folgate, declaring the approaching end of the world. (AUDIO: Night Watch)
Yvonne and Norton worked together with Andy to get the lens from Flight 405 for the Committee. (AUDIO: Flight 405) After Yvonne and Andy switched bodies as part of God's test for Ng, Andy discovered Yvonne's allegiance to the Committee. (AUDIO: Another Man's Shoes) She was convinced by Tyler Steele to try to protect South Wales from a tsunami that she inadvertently helped the Committee create. (AUDIO: Eye of the Storm)
Yvonne received the blame for the poor handling of the Cardiff flood crisis thanks to Jack and Bethan intercepting the retcon she used on officials. (AUDIO: A Mother's Son) This resulted in Yvonne and Torchwood as a whole becoming very unpopular with the public. (AUDIO: ScrapeJane) She tracked down God in a tea shop (AUDIO: Day Zero) and later prepared to sacrifice herself to stop the Committee, but ultimately survived. Whilst Torchwood fled Cardiff, Yvonne remained to see Andy, who arrested her. (AUDIO: Thoughts and Prayers)
