A VAD soldier imprisoned the Monk and interrogated him. They were the leader of the VAD. They had heard of the Time Lords and their non-interference policy. They got annoyed learning that the Monk had caused the destruction of members of their race. They explained their motivation and that they discovered more about the women's body they inhabited.[statement unclear] They later inhabited the Monk's body.
