Hera (mythology)

Hera was a goddess, the queen of the pantheon worshipped throughout Greece and Atlantis. She was thought to live with her husband Zeus on Olympus. When the Master claimed to be an emissary of the gods, the Atlantean king Dalios, who did not believe they existed, mockingly inquired after Hera. (TV: The Time Monster)

In one myth, Hera sent the Carcinus, a huge malevolent crab, to distract Heracles during his battle with the Hydra. When Carcinus was killed by Hercules, Hera rewarded it by creating the constellation Cancer in its honour. (PROSE: Introduction and Links)
