From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Welcome to the Tardis:About Gowlbag

Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Release date[[edit source]]

I read your question in the edit summary, so I'd like to answer it. Yes, it was released on the 28th, despite it's release date being a day later.

Lolita the vampire[[edit source]]

Ah, well, I see where you're coming from, but I think you are missing something, actually. Revealing that Lolita was part-timeship, part-Yssgaroth, was very much a part of Lawrence Miles's plans for the wider Faction Paradox story arc; it is the answer to the mystery of "quite what Lolita is". It is repeatedly hinted at in Toy Story (where Lolita and her sister are said to "only be half-timeship") and in Head of State (where certain corpses drained of blood are found in Lola Denison's vicinity). I know this isn't as good as a Miles quote, but here's Nate Bumber stating this as a given on his official blog.

Probably if Miles had remained at the steering wheel of Faction Paradox this would have been revealed more explicitly, but in light of the broader context, the vision of Wakai taking off her steely mask to be revealed as "vampiric" in The Book of the War was clearly meant to be one of the more explicit hints at this. (And for what it's worth, the "Cwej glitches" in Mujun contain another hint, although it's too meta and ambiguous to be Wikifiable: the point of "Wakai insisting that her prisoners have their legs broken and [be] impaled on spikes" seems to be that she's behaving like Vlad the Impaler! but, of course, Vlad himself isn't actually a vampire in Book of the War lore, which is why this would be so tricky to write about in an in-universe fashion). OK, I'll take your word for it. Though wouldn't that mean the Doctor's TARDIS should also be categorised as a vampire? Given all the emphasis on them being "twins" and somehow particularly related among all their sisters, it seems more speculative to suggest they have different fathers than that they don't. Perhaps — or at least, she has ancestry in that area. Talking about it in terms of DNA is all wrong, of course, but the vampire "genes" may not be "expressed" in her the way they are in Lolita. I'd hold off on categorising her as such unless she is seen to display vampiric behaviour. But something about it should probably be mentioned in the sections of "The Doctor's TARDIS" dealing with her various possible origins. Scrooge MacDuck 15:31, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
Yeah, as Shambala108 is quick to remind, controversial information should stay out of infoboxes, so I don't think we have the standing to say Sexy herself is part Yssgaroth; but Lolita's vampiric origin is not just alluded to in Toy Story but also reaffirmed in Head of State and The Book of the War, so I think it's uncontroversial and should be included. – n8 () 17:35, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

For(u)m Letter[[edit source]]

Hey there, I hope your Halloween was decent. As you might know, we've not had forums for over two years at this point. A few of the regular editors have been having a discussion on this topic at Forum talk:Index and we'd like the input of other prominent editors if you have the inclination. Cheers.
