Term of office

In the aftermath of the Slitheen crisis in March 2006, the Ninth Doctor claimed that Harriet Jones MP would be elected for three successive terms as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, becoming the architect of Britain's Golden Age. (TV: World War Three) Though she did indeed become Prime Minister by December 2006, the Tenth Doctor would set in motion her political downfall that Christmas following the Sycorax invasion, (TV: The Christmas Invasion) leading to her eventually being succeeded by Harold Saxon in 2008. (TV: The Sound of Drums)
