The French Revolution was the title used for several Earth textbooks on the historical event.
In November 1963, Coal Hill School history teacher Barbara Wright gave a copy of one book entitled The French Revolution to her pupil Susan Foreman (TV: An Unearthly Child) after retrieving it from the staff room. (PROSE: Doctor Who and an Unearthly Child) That morning, she had nearly forgotten it at home, but went back for it. (PROSE: A Long Night)
Susan, who had visited the revolutionary period with her grandfather, (PROSE: Just War) immediately noted errors in the book. (TV: An Unearthly Child)
Susan later visited the French Revolution era again in July 1794. (TV: The Reign of Terror)
Later, Ace found a copy of the book in a science laboratory in Coal Hill School. (TV: Remembrance of the Daleks)
In 2011, Clyde Langer read a different book of the same title, ostensibly for his history class, though he preferred to use it to shield himself while drawing comic strips such as The Silver Bullet. (TV: The Curse of Clyde Langer)
In the 2010s, the Twelfth Doctor found a copy of the book in Coal Hill School. (COMIC: Witch Hunt)
