Geocomtex

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

GeoComTex, also stylised as GEOCOMTEX or Geocomtex (PROSE: Products, etc.) (formerly called the Van Statten Corporation) was the international company owned by Henry van Statten, who employed Sven, Adam Mitchell and Diana Goddard. It was located in Utah, near Salt Lake City.

You may wish to consult GeoComTex (disambiguation) for other, similarly-named pages.

History

The organisation was founded (PROSE: Products) by Edward Van Statten (PROSE: Dalek) in 1999 to combat the Y2K bug. (PROSE: Products) Edward used the company to make millions in the armaments and oil industries. When his son, Henry, was fifteen, Henry invested his inherited one million dollars into the electronics, communications and telecommunications industries instead. The switch in industries proved successful and Henry quickly usurped his father to become the leader of the organisation, renaming it GeoComTex. (PROSE: Dalek)

By late 2006, (PROSE: Mars) GeoComTex had a corporate website, (PROSE: Untitled, etc.) which they advertised on websites such as Who is Doctor Who?. (PROSE: Mars) At some point after Christmas Eve 2007, (TV: The Runaway Bride) they changed their logo. (PROSE: Untitled, etc.)

GeoComTex was the world's leading electronics company as of 2012. Also it secretly owned the Internet. One of the GeoComTex specialised in computing products. Following disastrous events in the Vault, van Statten's assistant Goddard took charge of the company. (TV: Dalek)

The Leamington Spa Lifeboat Museum's security system used software from GeoComTex. (GAME: Security Bot)
