"Twas the Night Before Christmas" was a poem by Clement C. Moore, an American. He was inspired to write it after he saw Santa Claus, the Third Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith talking outside his window in New York City in 1822. (PROSE: A Visit from Saint Nicholas)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • The poem is actually called A Visit from St. Nicholas, though many know the poem best by its opening line.
  • The Time Lord Victorious short story And now for a story... was an homage to Twas the Night Before Christmas.
