Mordor was one of the fictional locations in Storyland, located directly opposite Lilliput.
Shortly after landing in Storyland, the First Doctor saw Sherlock Holmes walking past a sign giving the direction of Mordor, Lilliput and Trumpton, one of several clues which allowed him to realise he had retuned to Storyland. (COMIC: Nostalgia Corner)

- Although the connection is not mentioned in Nostalgia Corner or any other Doctor Who universe story, Mordor originates in the writings of J. R. R. Tolkien as the domain of the villainous Sauron.
