The Weathermen were a caste or occupational group originating on the Homeworld.

According to the Bookwyrm, it was the Weathermen who coined "the Bellbreaker's Cradle" as a name for their native universe, otherwise known as the Third Universe. (PROSE: The Cactus and the Corpse [+]Loading...["The Cactus and the Corpse (short story)"])

Long after going renegade, the Corsair was pleased to note, when he analysed the atmosphere and gravity of an unknown planet on the fly, that he still had "the reckoning to be a Weatherman". (PROSE: The Bloodletters [+]Loading...["The Bloodletters (novel)"])

The Weathermen once "dropped" Pyke-Xi Raul into the care of Caxtarid slavers. (PROSE: Wringing Off [+]Loading...["Wringing Off (novel)"])
