Baba was a Gallifreyan woman, and the favourite aunt of Iris Wildthyme.
One of "some dozen" sisters, Baba lived with her family in a house high in the icy mountains of southern Gallifrey. The snow was constant, and often kept the family trapped inside; the house had hundreds of storeys below the rock. Iris was born there and raised by Baba and her sisters.
Baba had a shawl woven from the discarded feathers of every bird her people knew. It allowed her to travel anywhere in the world. (PROSE: The Scarlet Empress)
