Ysanne Churchman

Ysanne Churchman (born 14 May 1925^[1]^[2] in Sutton Coldfield, died 4 July 2024^[3]) voiced Alpha Centauri in the Doctor Who television stories The Curse of Peladon, The Monster of Peladon and Empress of Mars, and Lupton's Spider^[4] in Planet of the Spiders.

She retired from acting in 1999 at the age of seventy-four. Despite this, she returned to the role of Alpha Centauri in 2017, at nearly the age of 92.
