Ricky September (born Richard Coombes) was a 25-year-old singer who lived in Finetime.

He was one of the most popular individuals in the community, with everyone following him. He changed his name when he reached 50,000 subscribers. Despite his celebrity status, he spent most of his time with his Dot off, disconnected from his Bubble, spending this time reading and learning things, as such he knew how some of the systems of Finetime worked. As the Dots rebelled against their creators using the man-traps, he met his end after being betrayed by Lindy Pepper-Bean, her Dot piercing through his head. Behind the scenes

Ricky September was originally called "Ricky Spanish" in an earlier version of the script. His name was changed after Russell T Davies was reminded that the name had already been used prominently in an episode of the animated sitcom, American Dad![1]
