Geographical pole

According to a book owned by Chloe Webber, the planet Earth had two poles, North and South, at the top and bottom of the globe respectively.

The Earth as seen in a book. (TV: Fear Her [+]Loading...["Fear Her (TV story)"])

Tilted by about 23.4 degrees, the Earth's axis was an imaginary line connecting the North Pole, the centre of the Earth and the South Pole.

Another imaginary line, the Equator ran around the Earth horizontally, exactly halfway between the two poles and thus divided the planet into two halves or hemispheres, the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. The Equator appeared on globes together with other lines that ran around the globe parallel to the Equator, known as parallels or lines of latitude. Latitude was measured in degrees between the Equator (0 degrees latitude) and the poles (90 degrees latitude). The latitude of any place between them was the angle formed at the centre of the Earth between the place and the Equator. (TV: Fear Her [+]Loading...["Fear Her (TV story)"])
