The Tenth Doctor took Martha Jones to the North Pole sometime between 1888 and 1892. Martha was the first person to walk on the North Pole, but the Doctor erased her footsteps so they wouldn't spoil it for anyone else. (PROSE: The Frozen Wastes)

In 1983, the Soviet submarine the Firebird picked up Skaldak and he woke up. After Skaldak was attacked by a cattle prod, he tried attacking humanity by launching a nuclear missile from the submarine, causing the other powers to strike back. An Ice Warrior ship rescued the submarine and Skaldak was taken aboard. (TV: Cold War)

In December 2009, the Fourth Doctor and Adric encountered the Andromedan S. Claus, who had stabilised a naturally occurring space-warp link between the planet Salostopus and the North Pole. On Salostopus, he had enslaved numerous Silostophans and set up a business where he served as Santa Claus on the planet Earth, distributing presents for a fee. The Doctor and Adric broke the space-warp link and freed the Silostophan slaves, stranding S. Claus on the planet. (PROSE: Planet of the Elves)
When the Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald fell victim to dream crabs, the shared dream manifested itself as a research outpost at the North Pole staffed by Shona McCullough, Ashley Carter, Rona Bellows, and Albert Smithe. (TV: Last Christmas)
