An advertisement for Triad Technology on the side of the 94. (TV: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"])

In UNIT HQ in late 2023, after UNIT shot down South Korea's KOSAT 5 satellite after it had been hijacked by Stooky Bill, the Fourteenth Doctor set Donna Noble to accessing the sub-frame to create a template for a program to coordinate all satellites, telescopes, and deep-space scans to search for the Toymaker. Donna asked Melanie Bush if the sub-frame was static or dynamic, and Mel told her that it was the latter, as UNIT used Triad. By Christmas Eve 2023, adverts for Triad Technology were applied to the sides of buses in London, including the 94. (TV: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)"])

At some point, Triad Technology was renamed to S Triad Technology, alerting UNIT who identified "S Triad" as an anagram of TARDIS. UNIT and the Fifteenth Doctor immediately noticed this was an anagram as it was "obvious." Two months later, Susan Triad planned to distribute her technology for free to help humanity rebuild. The arrival of the God of Death, Sutekh, however, disrupted this event, and Triad herself was taken over by Sutekh.

The name S Triad Technology was a trap by Sutekh to lure in the Fifteenth Doctor, who had seen various women identical to Triad throughout his travels and suspected that she may in fact have been a new incarnation of his granddaughter, Susan Foreman. Additionally Triad, who preferred others to call her Sue rather than Susan, formed another homophone: "Sue Tech". This second homophone had gone unnoticed by the Doctor and UNIT, and was only revealed to the Doctor when it was too late and Sutekh had already begun to manifest. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Despite the advertisement for Triad Technology being visible in the original episode [+]Loading...{"noital":"1","1":"The Church on Ruby Road (TV story)","2":"original episode"}, no mention of the company was present in The Church on Ruby Road novelisation [+]Loading...["The Church on Ruby Road (novelisation)","''The Church on Ruby Road'' novelisation"].
  • A fake url was used for the company's website in The Legend of Ruby Sunday [+]Loading...["The Legend of Ruby Sunday (TV story)"]. No tie-in website was created, unlike the diegetic website from Series 1 from 2005.
