Stonehenge

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Stonehenge was an assemblage of giant stones erected in Wiltshire during the 2nd Millennium BC.

History

Creation

The Doctor and Samantha Jones visited Stonehenge while it was being constructed. (ST: The People's Temple) The Monk, however, claimed to have used anti-gravity lifts to assist in the completion of Stonehenge circa 1500 BC. (DW: The Time Meddler)

At some point in its history, the Alliance placed the Pandorica beneath Stonehenge for the Doctor to find. The pillars beneath Stonehenge began to act as a transmitter for the members of the Alliance to converge on it in 102 AD. The transmission was sent to everyone and to all time zones, resulting in Vincent van Gogh (presumably amongst others) having visions of the opening of the Pandorica. As the pillars within the "Under-Henge" were clearly more than their appearance would suggest, and as as the Pandorica was also placed there, it is possible (if not likely) that the Alliance constructed the "Under-Henge". When the Doctor arrived at Stonehenge and found the Pandorica, the Alliance imprisoned him within it. (DW: The Pandorica Opens)

Modern times

During the 1970s, the Ragman was defeated at Stonehenge. (PDA: Rags) In 1976, UNIT fought Vardans at Stonehenge, where the Doctor was captured by the Monk. (NA: No Future)

Circa 2005, when Canisian General Tannis invaded Earth circa 2005, he had his fleet land near Stonehenge. (WC: Death Comes to Time)

Stonehenge was among the Earth cultural items the Threshold had stolen and taken to the town of Wormwood on the Moon. (DWM: Wormwood)

In enemy of the bane, Mrs Wormwood and kaagh found a portal under stonehenge
