Salford was a part of greater Manchester, England. The Doctor was arrested by D.I. Patricia Menzies of the Salford constabulory in 2008 on the charge of murder. Both the Doctor and Charley revisited Salford and worked with Menzies when a mysterious pound coin from the future turned up in a coin-operated vending machine in the area. (BFA: The Raincloud Man)
