• 2 June - The Second Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon were taken to this time by the Daleks. (DW: The Evil of the Daleks)
• 21 September - Herbert George Wells was born in Bromley, England. (DW: Timelash)
• November - The Fifth Doctor arrived in London, having been separated from his companion, Nyssa, who was sent one year forward in time. Over the course of the next year, he became a well known and respected figure in London scientific circles in spite of his youthful appearance. He resided in 107 Baker Street until being reunited with Nyssa on 14 November 1867. (BFA: The Haunting of Thomas Brewster)
