The Bay of Bengal, also called Bengal Bay, (AUDIO: Storm Warning) was a body of water in the south of Asia.[1]
Geography[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Bay of Bengal was the name given to the gulf which extended from the east coast of Hindoostan, via the south-west coast of Birmah, to the west coast of Siam. The city of Madras was on the coast of Hindoostan, just west of the bay. The River Ganges flowed into the bay from the northern coast via a series of tributaries. (TV: Survivors of the Flux) Singapore was located on the opposite side of the bay from Karachi via a slow boat journey. (AUDIO: Storm Warning)
