Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Story details, the trailer, and the cover for this anthology were revealed 13 November 2019.[2]
- Details about new companion Joe Carnaby and how the character came about were revealed 30 November 2019.[3]
- The first story in this anthology, Blood on Santa's Claw, was first released free to subscribers to the Big Finish newsletter on 4 December 2019.
- This release comes with Behind the Scenes Interviews extras.
- Nev Fountain did write the first three stories in the anthology, on top of the final story for which he was explicitly credited. The names listed as writers for the first three stories are plays on the words "alter-ego", "pseudonym" and "alias", respectively. This decision was made to create the impression that this was a regular anthology with four standalone stories, when in fact they are connected by a retroactive plot twist, explained in the final episode.[4]
- Nev Fountain had considered bringing back the Yeti and the Krotons, but was dropped when the production team requested for an original villain.[4]
