Bruce Silver

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Bruce Silver was an agent for the Universal Secret Service in the late 2040s.

When he was ten years old, he swam the width of Lake Superior. When he was fourteen years old, he won seven Olympic Games medals and, by the time he was thirty-two, had become "the world's greatest sportsman".

He was chosen by S as the right candidate to track down and kill former Agent Twenty One in Berlin because his direct and obvious approach went against Twenty One's training to expect the unexpected. He followed Bereznik Secret Police Agent Hans Surbeck to the roof of Twenty One's apartment. Surbeck fired missiles at Silver to ensure he did not kill Twenty One but they had no effect. Mistaking Surbeck for the USS agent, Twenty One used his toy snake to fire a dose of truth serum into Silver, prompting him to repeat a confession of his identity. Realising his blunder, Twenty One tricked Surbeck into falling off the roof and led Silver into a car, previously driven by another USS agent who had exited it to give help to Silver after hearing gunshots. After the truth serum wore off, Silver only remembered that his mission was to kill Twenty One and caused him to crash the car. After a brief fight, Silver was knocked unconscious by Twenty One with a taxi taking them both to the nearest spaceport so that they could return to USS HQ in Kahra. (COMIC: The Long Road Back)
