The twenty-eighth issue of the Doctor Who DVD Files - "The Ultimate Build-up Doctor Who Encyclopaedia" had a cover date of 27 January 2010.

- Each issue came with a DVD release covering two episodes.
- Reversible DVD sleeves enabled the collector to display one of two designs featuring either the Doctor and his enemies or his companions.

- Reunited with Rose, the Doctor manages to narrowly avert regenerating before the TARDIS and everyone in it are transported to the Dalek Crucible. With the help of so many friends, can the Doctor overcome his oldest enemies and their insane creator

- When the Doctor meets someone with a strangely Doctor-like approach to the world he thinks he has met one of his later incarnations. The truth will have to wait, however, as the Time Lord faces the Cybermen once again.

- Sarah Jane Smith's parents Eddie and Barbara died in a car crash when she was a baby and she was brought up by her Aunt Lavinia.
- The Doctor's TARDIS has been seen on screen disguised as a church organ, a Victorian kitchen stove, and a pair of gates.
- Former Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones has appeared in the TV series as a Cyberman and manning a Dalek.
- The Doctor's sonic screwdriver was modified between The Empty Child and The Next Doctor to enable it to scan for alien tech.
