Dalfin was one of the people in the Forest of Penitence. Scarp and Dalfin though that the War Master and Corvel were attacking Ellie. She told the War Master that she saw a friend in a tree and that she had been executed and this was hell. She started to act motherly towards Ellie. She realised they were in Olskerwood, that she knew from her legends. This made her paranoid that she wouldn't make it out alive. After admitting her fault to Scarp's death she turned into a tree.
