Daryl Christofi was the first feature and second release exclusively published on the Daryl the Diver website on 27 April 2011^{[nb 1]} by the BBC and Punchdrunk to coincide with the immersive experience The Crash of the Elysium. This feature was another part of a range of fiction published on tie-in websites as part of the viral marketing for the experience, by a fictional online profile about diver Daryl Christofi.

Daryl began work with the Merchant Navy, where upon he did his first dive in the South China Seas.
Daryl is writing a book about his experiences.
Daryl hopes to fund future dives with the salvage he hopes to recover from the Elysium.
Daryl would like to meet Isambard Kingdom Brunel if he got the chance to meet a historical figure.

This is the second and final release on the Daryl the Diver tie-in website.

The steamer Elysium and its crash plays pivotal role in the marketing and tie-in stories for STAGE: The Crash of the Elysium, however ironically, doesn't play a large role in the immersive experience itself as another Elysium, a spaceship, took narrative precedence.
The mention of Daryl wanting to sell the salvage he'd retrieve from the Elysium to fund future dives contextualises his desire to retrieve the gold ingots worth over £10000000 as espoused in the previous story PROSE: Enthusiastic Amateur Diver Shares His Discoveries With You!.
