From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Dissolution of the Monasteries

The Dissolution of the Monasteries was a campaign headed by Henry VIII in the mid-16th century, which sought to dissolve the powers of monasteries in England. As one result of this campaign, Boscombe Hall was built on the former site of the Convent of the Little Sisters of Saint Gudula at Boscombe in 1572.
