Elina Storrow was a criminal in California on an alternate Earth.
She and her husband Albert blackmailed people and had their own death cult. They were sacrificing a black ram at the same time Ray Morita was using a mathematical formula to travel to another universe. The synchronicity created a connection and he appeared in their basement in the midst of the sacrifice.
