Epitaph

An epitaph was a written inscription, usually carved into a gravestone, which commemorated the life or death of whomever was buried beneath. (AUDIO: Emissary of the Daleks)

Clara Oswin Oswald's epitaph reads, "Remember me, for we shall meet again". (TV: The Snowmen)
