The Heart of Messina was a black hole which was located near a blood-red nebula. Omega once conducted an experiment in the time vortex there, where he discovered a Chronovore. Omega tricked the Chronovore by exposing it to the black hole, saving his crew in the process. (PROSE: The Evil and the Deep Black Sky)
