Jasper Eagleton was the Astronomer Royal in the 1890s. Being against the idea of women being employed, he disapproved of Charlotte Mayfly being an academic. Neville Plumstead told Jenny Flint that Eagleton was the cause of the ghostly apparitions but, in truth, he himself was responsible. Plumstead killed Eagleton. (AUDIO: The Ghosts of Greenwich)
