John Lumic's wheelchair was used by its eponymous owner as a primary means of short-distance transportation.
Adorned with the logo of Cybus Industries, such features incorporated into the wheelchair included a breathing apparatus, motion control lever, automated life-support systems, and Cybus-branded oxygen tanks. Additionally, there were doses of medication which would be taken intravenously. Betraying his boss, Mr Crane severely damaged the life-support systems. Inadvertently, Lumic made his Cybermen aware of the fact he was in pain, and the latter judged him as unfit to carry on living in human form, thus promptly had him converted into the Cyber-Controller. After conversion, the wheelchair was presumably incinerated along with Lumic's body. (TV: The Age of Steel [+]Loading...["The Age of Steel (TV story)"])
