The Professor X Appreciation Association was a fan organisation devoted to the British science fiction television series Professor X, composed of older British fans who were horrified at the X-ian term adopted by newer American fans. With Professor X serving as equivalent to Doctor Who within the Doctor Who universe, the Professor X Appreciation Association is a clear analogue to the Doctor Who Appreciation Society, with "X-ian" being a reference to the latter-day Doctor Who fandom coinage of "Whovian".
