Rachel Zimmerman was a Hungarian living in England. When Nick Zimmerman crashed to Earth, after leaving the Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller for dead, his escape pod was discovered by Rachel. The pair eventually fell in love and were married. Rachel owned a real estate company, and used it to buy a large plot of land on which her and Nick could build a house.
In 2007, she organised a party in the garden of this house to celebrate her marriage with Nick. At this time Rachel was dying from cancer. During this party, Nick set up a time loop so that the pair could be together forever. When Lucie and the Doctor arrived looking to bring Nick to justice, Rachel talked to Lucie about how Nick had changed. (AUDIO: No More Lies)
