Believing in gods (or not)[[edit source]]

I removed the bit saying "(The Doctor) stated in The Satan Pit that he doesn't believe in any god, so there for in the Doctor Who universe, Christmas is not a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ" because the Doctor does believe in the existence of people and beings who are worshipped as gods. After all, he's met them and fought them and even been one of them, even though he personally doesn't count them as gods. It's possible the Whoniverse version of Jesus might be one of them too. So you can't draw any firm conclusion about whether or not Christmas in the Doctor Who universe is or isn't a celebration of his birth.

Reduction of lead[[edit source]]

I've removed the following from the lead:

It evolved from a number of religious and secular festivals over several millennia and eventually came to be widely recognized as a holiday celebrating the birth of ancient religious leader Jesus Christ, although it was also widely celebrated secularly

If such an assertion can be supported by evidence from DW fiction, I'm not aware of the source. If someone chooses to re-insert it, please back it up with a source from the Whoniverse, not the real world. CzechOut | 22:24, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

There is no mention of Christmas dinner in The Waters of Mars; please fix this. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.133.191.181 (talk).

Christmas Day or the Christmas season in general?[[edit source]]

The title is pretty self explanitaory: does this page cover any event related to the Christmas period (i.e. preparations in the leadup to the day, the days immediately following, ect.) or just events on the day itself? WaltK 18:34, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

I believe it is the whole holiday/season, as there is a separate page for Christmas Day. LauraBatham 01:17, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
