New name[[edit source]]
Just wanted to clarify why I added the Speedy rename tag instead of the regular one. Well, to put it simply, ever story to mention this so far has been based in audio. Thus is why the name has been pieced together without the "á." However, there's now a comic to mention the island that clearly uses the spelling "Galápagos Islands." Thanks. - Technically, this shouldn't have been a speedy rename. One source does not the whole DWU make. It should have been a regular rename, requesting a review of all DWU sources. You overstated your case without doing any thorough research. Its use hasn't been solely based in audio, and there is no standard DWU way of spelling it. Galapagos is a valid English spelling, and it probably should have been kept to logically pair with the Galapagos tortoise. At least three different spellings can be cited in DWU works. It would have been just as correct -- and much less work -- to leave it where it was and create redirects the other two spellings -- Galápagos and Galapágos. Please try to remember in future that T:SPEEDY is for uncontroversial renames. By placing a name in the T:SPEEDY list, you're asserting that you've done the full research and determined that the way we currently have things is absolutely incorrect. That really wasn't the case in this instance.
