Was any reason ever given by the authors for why they used so much lovecraft stuff? Its a kinda jarring transition from "Great vampires" to "Shub-Niggurath." Does anyone have any interviews or quotes about this? I cant be the only one who finds it odd, and the total lack of information on this site for htis issue desperatly needs resolving.
