There's something I don't understand.
It says here that Lethbridge-Stewart I was recruited to UNIT as enlisted, yet his page, and indeed most other sources, say he was a 'proper' commissioned officer, rather than being what I can only guess is a Sharpe-type character.
Could somebody please give us a hand?

Originally he was a Colonel in the regular army and then got promoted to Brigadier following the London event, and was put in charge of the newly formed UNIT which was created as a direct response.
But Survivors of the Flux retconned things so that UNIT had actually been operating for years before The Invasion and Lethbridge Stewart was a Corporal and a lower ranking member of UNIT in 1966. SarahJaneFan ☎ 16:31, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- Right. But that doesn't make much sense, saying that he was just enlisted. If that's the case, that he was really just rank-and-file, how did he become a one-star general?
