Vera Parker was an old woman living in Hydra Lodge in 2022 and the owner of Hydra Hall nearby. She initially refused to touch the hall due to it having a history of causing people to disappear, leading the Thirteenth Doctor, Yaz, and Dan to investigate.
She briefly took stewardship of Sidney Bird who had been transported there from 1942 and witnessed the Doctor solve the mysteries by closing the portal to a pocket universe beneath the hall, being gifted Trip as thanks for her help and receiving a visit from the elderly Sid from 2022. She later helped to restore the hall and worked as a tour guide once it reopened. (COMIC: Hydra's Gate)
