Yquatine English was an unusual variant of the English language that Fitz tried to read while he was briefly incarcerated at the Yendip Internment Centre on Yquatine. However, he found that the grammatical structure was "overelaborate" and that texts were replete with words with which he was unfamiliar. So troublesome was Yquatine English that he opted to try to learn Minervan instead. (PROSE: The Fall of Yquatine)
