"Who is the Doctor" was a 1972 spoken word single performed by Jon Pertwee and arranged and written by Rupert Hine and David Maclver. Pertwee recites lyrics over a remix of the Doctor Who theme tune. It is the first time that one of the actors playing the Doctor had recorded music.
Its B Side, "Sheer Mystery", another spoken word piece recited by Pertwee had no connection to Doctor Who.
It was used for the end credits of the More than Thirty Years in the TARDIS video documentary.
Reissues
In 1983 it was released with a B-side of "The Sea Devils" by Malcolm Clarke and 1985 it was released with a B-side of ""Doctor...?" by Blood Donor.
