In one of the mini-episodes included in the Complete Series 6 Box Set (I think it's Good Night?), it's shown that both versions of Amy's past - the one where she grew up without parents and first met the Doctor when she was a child, and the one where she always had parents and didn't meet the Doctor as a child - are both simultaneously "real." They both happened, even though they contradict one another. This would normally imply parallel universes, but we're dealing with a single universe here, so how can this be? 82.2.136.93^{talk to me} 18:34, April 17, 2012 (UTC)
