Death to the Doctor! (comic story)
Summary
A number of enemies unite to defeat the Doctor.
Plot
On a research base in deep space, a number of enemies have united because they were all defeated by The Doctor. A new member, called Valis, arrives to join then, and is welcomed by Kraarn of the Kraagaaron. In the meeting, a number of the aliens talk about how they were defeated by various incarnations of the Doctor.
Valis reveals that he was defeated by the Doctor's eighth incarnation, who stopped him using the crystal of consciousness. Bolog, a toad-like creature, tells of how he was defeated by the the Doctor's fourth incarnation, who sent his fleet of ships into the sun using a banana. The piscine Zargath, recounts how the the Doctor had defeated him by making it rain with his sonic screwdriver after he tried to invade Powell Estate.
An alien wearing a metal helmet reveals that he has been defeated by several Doctors, including the sixth, and comments on his poor choice of clothes. Kraarn comes up with an idea - they must unite to defeat the Doctor. He starts showing sides, but is blown up. The other villains wonder what caused it, and Valis comes up with the only explanation: the Doctor must be in the base.
The aliens then search the base for the doctor. Valis talks with one of the villains called The Mentor (who resembles The Master), and he reveals that he was defeated by The Third Doctor. In another corridor, Bolog asks Questor, an old humanoid, how he was defeated, and he tells him of how the First Doctor defeated him in the Jungle of Tropicalus. The other two aliens reach the room with a Metabolic Interfermometer, which shows only 6 people in the base. As there are only six aliens, this can only mean that The Doctor is one of them. Not long after, a shot is heard - but it is revealed that Bolog killed Questor because he thought that Questor was the Doctor in disguise.
The aliens start accusing each other of being the Doctor, and attention switches to Valis, as he is the newest member. He is shot by Zargath - but is revealed to be flammable - and Zargath is caught in the blast - but neither was The Doctor. There are now only three left, and they each accuse the other of being the doctor. Then they hear the TARDIS arriving, but too late - they all shoot at one person, killing all three of them. Martha Jones comes out the TARDIS, and is shocked to see the dead aliens. The Doctor examines the station and discovers that the wire which killed Kraarn had an electrical fault. He then sees the interferometer, and discovers that they are the only ones there - leaving him to wonder what caused it. He apologises to Martha, saying that if he had got there sooner, he would have saved them.

Continuity
- In the flashback, The Fourth Doctor states that "bananas are good" - a line used by the Ninth Doctor in The Doctor Dances and Tenth Doctor in The Girl in the Fireplace.
Placements
- The First Doctor is shown with Steven Taylor and Dodo Chaplet, thus placing that adventure between The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve and The Savages.
- The Third Doctor is shown with Jo Grant and the Brigadier, thus placing it between Terror of the Autons and The Green Death.
- The Fourth Doctor is shown with Romana I and K-9 (which must therefore be K-9 Mark II). Thus it probably takes place after Season 16, before Romana's regeneration in Destiny of the Daleks.
- The Sixth Doctor is not shown with any companion, so the adventure probably takes place after Season 23, and before he picks up Mel in Business Unusual.
- The Ninth Doctor is shown with Rose Tyler, so a likely placement is between World War Three and Boom Town.
- For the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones, it must be between 42 and Utopia.
