Songtaran Carols was a webcast produced in preparation of the 2012 Christmas special.

Synopsis

Strax sings three familiar Earth Christmas carols, but each has a Sontaran twist.

Plot

Strax, flanked by Madame Vastra and Jenny, begins by singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," but soon turns the carol into a warning that a Sontaran warrior is coming to reduce the listener into atoms. The next song he sings is "When the Red, Red Robin (Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin' Along)" and ends by saying that "I use the twittering avian for target practice!" At this point the Eleventh Doctor pops up behind him and says, "Strax, Christmas is fun. Come on, now" and rubs his bald head. In the last scene, Strax sings "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and exclaims that while Rudolph's nose allowed him a tactical advantage, it also allowed Strax to punch him in the dark and then everyone laughs.
