Chris Summers was a contestant on the television show Make a Star.

Chris was not confident about his abilities, even though he was the favorite to win. He felt like the producers wanted him to win, noting to Jo Grant that he always got the best songs.

Chris had a legion of female fans. The Third Doctor used their obsession with Chris to help Jo and himself escape from the Master. Chris won the show, thanks in part to the Master's interference. (PROSE: Hidden Talent)
