The Andromeda Galaxy is a galaxy neighbouring Mutter's Spiral.
Overview
- Mavic Chen, Guardian of the Solar System, attended the Intergalactic Conference of Andromeda sometime prior to 4000. Planktus of the Outer Galaxies also attended. (DW: The Daleks' Master Plan)
- Humans reached the Andromeda Galaxy sometime during the 51st century.
- The Wirrn are native to Andromeda, though their breeding colonies were destroyed by Human colonists and, after a thousand years of fighting, they were driven from the Galaxy. They came to call Andromeda "the old lands". (DW: The Ark in Space)

- An agency known as "The Three Sleepers" originated from Andromeda. Having stolen data from the Matrix on Gallifrey, the Sleepers took refuge on Earth in the far future. In retribution, the Time Lords used the Magnetron to devastate the planet by fire, moving it two light years to cover up the leak. Owing to the move a rescue ship sent from Andromeda to recover the Sleepers and the data missed Earth and caused the Sleepers to die in suspended animation. (DW: The Trial of a Time Lord)
