"You humans have such limited little minds. I don’t know why I like you so much …!” "
The Doctor endangers the whole of human history when he accidently brings a splinter of the Mandragora Hellix to Renaissance Italy. This malevolent alien entity wastes no time in bewitching Hieronymous, leader of the outlawed Brotherhood of Demnos, who plans to murder his own brother and seize control of the Dukedom of San Martino. With Earth itself at stake, can the Doctor and Sarah Jane prevent all hell from breaking loose at the masque of Mandragora?

Notable Information

  • Dick’s line in The Shakespeare Code (“The eye should have contentment where it rests”) is a quote from the 1965 story The Crusade.
  • The Peking Homunculus was created as a plaything for the children of the Commissioner of the Icelandic Alliance in the 51st century.
  • The Aplans of Alfava Metraxis were a race of highly cultured humanoids with two heads each having its own personality and intelligence.
