Calamity Jane was a musical film about Calamity Jane, a historical figure of the 19th century. Emma-Louise Cowell and her best friend Kate went to see it five times and Emma-Louise later purchased the LP. She identified "Just Blew in from the Windy City" as her favourite song, which she sang in front of Alesha and Jade. (TV: Out of Time)
Behind the scenes
- Emma-Louise travelled forward in time from 1953, which — provided the DWU works the same way as the real world in this case — indicates she wasn't talking about the stage musical from the 1960s. Although the film and record were released in the United States in November of that year, there is no indication the film played anywhere in Europe before 1954. It doesn't seem to have had a cinematic release in the United Kingdom before 2006. This means she would have had to have spent much of November in the US with her friend.
