Venusian

A Venusian was an inhabitant of the planet Venus.

Native Venusians

There were at least two species of intelligent natives from Venus. One was simply known as the Venusians. (PROSE: Venusian Lullaby) The other was known as the Thraskin or Cytherians. (AUDIO: Voyage to Venus) Both lived early in Venus' history.

The animal life of Venus was also referred to as Venusian, such as the Venusian Shanghorn. (TV: The Green Death, PROSE: The War of Art, AUDIO: Voyage to Venus)

Human Venusians

Humans who colonised Venus were known as Venusians. These Venusians were known for their resistance to Dalek occupation. (PROSE: The Dalek Book)

Many millions of years later, another group of humans came to the Sol system. They had forgotten their own origin of Earth and instead colonised Venus, calling themselves Venusians. (AUDIO: Voyage to Venus)

In fiction

In the 20th century British children's comic Eagle, Dan Dare's enemy the Mekon was a Venusian. (PROSE: Time and Relative)
