Silentedit source

As much I as appreciate you edits, we cannot move and delete information of the silent till we come to an agreement about how we should split the page, if we should split it at all.

You seem to be in a great rush to delete the information, without even thinking about where you should put it. Please wait till, as I said, we come to a decision over the page split. Thanks. MM/Want to talk? 20:36, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

It's fine, everyone makes mistakes. A spilt page is a good idea, as you have suggested on the talk page. Either we can continue the discussion there, or we can move it to here, Forum:Panopticon. If you need help with anything, just ask me or another admin, and you'll be point in the right direction. In the mean time, keep up the good work :). MM/Want to talk? 21:23, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Signatureedit source

Heya :) Sounds like your error is that you're trying to put the time stamp in your template page (User:D0ct0r11/sig). It needs to be in your signature line at Special:Preferences. Please consult help:signatures#Formatting time itself.

Picturesedit source

Hi :) Thanks very much for your recent picture uploads. Please remember, however, that all pictures must have an image license attached. We recognise that the new editing page that Wikia dumped on us yesterday allows you upload a picture in a way that bypasses the normal upload page altogether, and so you may not even see the licensing drop-down menu. Until we can get this corrected, we recommend that you only upload through Special:Upload or Special:MultipleUpload, so that you have convenient access to the licensing drop-down. (Both of these pages are linkable on the user toolbar which strips along the bottom of every page. Also, the "add a photo" button in the right column of most pages links to Special:Upload.) Images without licenses are subject to automatic deletion by bot through a routine process which is not monitored by a human being. I have, however, instead used the bot to add the proper image license (Characteroptions copyright) to your recent Character Options uploads, so they're safe from auto-deletion.

If you haven't done so, please consult tardis:image use policy for a more complete list of policies affecting image uploads and use. Thanks :)

Well, the logs disagree with your assertion that you put a license on all your uploads. All of your recent uploads beginning with the letters "CO" were not licensed; there were around 10 or so pics definitely uploaded by you which required licensing. I'm not mad at you or anything — just try to remember to do it in the future, and be aware that this has been made a little harder by the new "add features and media" section of the edit page. Special:MultipleUpload is your friend.  :)

Character namingedit source

Hey, please read and follow T:NAMING. The proper name for a character with a single name, like this Hope character you recently created, is Name (Name of story), not Name (character).

You're quite right. Too many users around with a number plus the word "Doctor" in their names. Sorry 'bout that.

QOTWedit source

To answer your chat question, the Quote of the Week is behind simply because no one has changed it. It's not required that it be changed by an admin. If you would like to change it, please feel free.
czechout<staff />   18:56: Thu 10 Nov 2011

It's literally up to you.
As for what happens in the cases of a no-vote or tie situation, the editor who puts up the QOTW on the main page has the deciding vote. (The truth of the matter is that QOTW submissions have historically generated little interest. Many have had no votes or tied votes.)
The "to skip or not to skip" question is more nuanced than it might first appear. I wouldn't trash the month of October because no one bothered to change the main page. Instead, I'd probably take the October stuff and make it January. Pull all the weeks that have been missed to the end of the pile. That way, we're still "on schedule" as far as holiday-themed quotes, but we retain the work that's been put into things.

Christmas cheeredit source

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
